Celebrating Women

“Celebrating Women” is a collection of paintings that were created by Canadian artist Larisa Sembaliuk Cheladyn. Each of the 25 paintings is a dynamic statement about the impact women have had on Canadian history. They all tell a story, inspired by historic recollections, Canadian firsts, unique experiences and current issues.

Developed as an educational and fund raising project, “Celebrating Women” toured across Canada in 2004-05.  Through visual imagery, the art educates and encourages involvement in activities that improve the quality of life for women, families and community.

Note: Of the 25 original paintings 12 have been sold.  The signature painting "Fabric of a Nation" is on permanent display in Ottawa in the office of the National Council of Women of Canada.  Listed here are the remaining 13 paintings that are available.

Images that are available as limited edition reproductions are marked as PRINT.
