Poppies are a popular flower incorporated into embroidery patterns and rozpys (decorative painting) on walls and household goods.

While traditional folk culture historically reserved poppies for specific uses like funeral linens, their resilience and striking beauty have led to their widespread use in modern Ukrainian embroidery as a cherished symbol of national identity, hope, and an indestructible memory of the people.
