RESEARCH
Larisa Sembaliuk Cheladyn views life through the lens of an artist. She completed her BFA in Art & Design from the University of Alberta in 1981 and has enjoyed a successful career as a watercolourist and illustrator for over 30 years. Larisa is well known for her paintings of flowers – poppies, sunflowers, and endangered species are her specialty. She also enjoys painting images from her Ukrainian heritage – recreating imagery that stimulates found memories of folklore and cultural traditions.
Larisa’s artwork has shown at exhibits around the world and is now available online. Browse below for original paintings, limited edition reproductions, as well as cards, scarves, puzzles, and books.
Larisa’s work is also represented in the Edmonton area by Picture This Gallery and the Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA).
