Torn Dreams

This image was created several years ago in response to the emotions I felt upon realizing that no matter how educated society seems to be, history, horrible history, keeps repeating itself.

It seems that no corner of the world is exempt. In the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and even North America. The struggle for power ends in the persecution and imprisonment of innocent people.

With this painting, I stand in solidarity with all those struggling against power-hungry politicians, especially the people of Ukraine, and encourage everyone to break free of the “barbwire”, break free of past injustices and move forward into the future and live our dreams of a healthy peaceful society.
