St. Nicholas
St. Nicholas (Greek: Ἅγιος Νικόλαος, Hagios Nikólaos, Latin: Sanctus Nicolaus)
was a 4th century Christian saint and Greek Bishop of Myra. Because of the many miracles attibuted to him he is also known as Nikolas the Wonderworker. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors, children, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, brewers, and students. The main feast day of Saint Nicholas is celebrated on December 6 (or 19 on the Julian calendar).
